ambition

funny im at work right now transitioning b/w work and break time and i was lissening to my iPod. The song currently playing was "ambition" from Jay-Z feat. Pharell. Blazin song btw but i really had me energized about my life and where it is now. If u have been a follower u have had a glimpse into my ups and downs over this past yr. Actually i see the light at the end though i am still walking towards it. Jigga says throughout the song that many will doubt u (termed"haterz") and maybe u may even occasionally doubt urself but who cares what they think...itz ur life u choose what to do with it regardless of the situation. "The motivation for me is them tellin me what I could not be...oh well!!!" keep ur head up and ur swagger lvl high lol

movie decorum

okay so i went to the movies this wkend and had to vent some frustrations. I am frugal for the most part though i don't mind wining and dining(ladies*wink* lol) so i occasionally attend a local movie theater that runs about $1.50. Mind u I am goin at night(around 10pm) so there are a lot of ppl out and about. I happen to go see the new nightmare on elm st. movie which btw kinda sucked. The point however is not the actual movie but the patrons within. There were numerous young adults and/or youth which sometimes leads to these groups of individuals to behave in a way that states their age; immature!! Throughout most of the movie i was either kicked in the back of the chair or i had to use my super-sensitive hearing(lol) to lissen to the film. Nah the movie wasn't overly entertaining but i paid my money so i would like to see it in some type of peaceful atmosphere.

The "youth got fire but nowhere to go". The problem is that many adult(usually "black") dont hold the adolescence responsible for their actions which indirectly perpetuates the issue. I saw lil boys and gurls no older than 5 sitting through a "R" rated movie @ 10pm??? We allow these kids to run amuck with consequences!!!! As u can tell i am livid cuz itz a bigger picture(pun intended) than just movie etiquette. The young "kids" take that rancid attitude outside to the vast world to further spread the epidemic; the epidemic of irresponsibility.

WAIT!!! the youngins aint all to be held culpable , so do the parents. I saw one situation in the movie where a lil gurl was crying cuz she got scared then her "guardians" asked her why was she afraid....itz freakin Freddy Krueger idiots not Hanna Montana???!!!! So for those of u reading this or lissenin to a friend read this show better judgment so younger kids can follow suit...peace family

eye spy u spy we all spy

let me fill you in briefly( from what little i know): several Russian spies have been extricated from a web of intrigue so to speak. Yesterday ur Amerikkkan govt swapped Russian spies caught in the US for American spies caught in Russia. What part of the game is this??

I am still looking into the who what where and why of the story but regardless they were caught committing espionage(spying) yet instead of some lengthy sentencing they are flown back to their native country in exchange for some spies for America. They say the reason behind the exchange is to improve the US-Russia relations. But how u gonna do that when u have spies in my backyard?

I am actually quite perturbed and flabbergasted lol. I dont know what is goin on except politics as usual. Check the CNN link below for whole story...hotep!!

blue sadness

hello world dis ya boi. imma jump right into it. i went to the IMAX theater in Raleigh last night to watch Avatar in 3D. For those who are unfamiliar with an IMAX theater itz the gargantuan movie screen with stupendous surround sound etc basically itz off the chain lol. I over analyze a lot so when Avatar first came out and i found out that they spent 300 + million dollars on an animation film i was shocked. Simply b/c we are in a "recession" kats struggling but one industry neva cringes in the face of economic dangers...the entertainment industry. The movie was awesome and not just b/c of the 3D effect(which btw whas hot). The plot envelopes around the idea of humans trying to conquer an area of land for their own use while uprooting the indigenous from their homeland; sound familiar?

There are numerous reviews, mostly good about the movie. I was reading on CNN when the movie first came out. Many ppl who viewed the movie felt mixed feelings of guilt and/or sadness aptly named "blue sadness" (i think?!). Ppl likened the movie to our world where humans have long been rapist of Mother Earth for centuries. I believe we as humans fail to realize that the Creator made more than just us; on this rock we are part of an huge ecosystem that we continually abuse for our own gratification. The Creator has no problem with us using the land for resources but like alwayz itz overused and not replenished. Humans live in excess, me included though i try to make a conscious effort.

The movie is really powerful in that it can really change ur perspective on things in this world. Our world is dying yet we neva change our ways. We must embrace this Earth and all it has to offer. There was a saying in the movie i wanted to share with u. Paraphrasing it was stated that energy is everywhere from the plants to other life forms and this energy can be borrowed but must be given back(when death occurs). I truly believe that; everything has energy, some call it chi but regardless what u call it itz there. I always say that humans are like locust and just like these insidious insects humans destroy resources then move to another until that is depleted. For instance look at the situation now in the Gulf of Mexico. Y the fuk u drillin offshore really? y u r drillin period? We should have found another sustainable source of energy yrs ago. Many problems politically and environmentally i think could possibly have been avoided.

Mother Earth screams at the top of her lungs to stop the destruction but we keep our ears closed and eyes shut to the devastation only to have our pockets full of money. What happens when the Earth ceases to exist will u be able to spend ur blood money then?

wtf? part deux

I was "working" and causally came across CNN.com. I rarely watch the idiot box therefore CNN is one of my few sources for information around the world. I was reading different articles and came across one about a new rape video game. Yes i said RAPE??!! It is available via internet or u have to go to Japan. The game is called "RapeLay" the theme seems to revolve around revenge blah blah blah!! I had to speak on this b/c i am a self-proclaimed addict of video games. When i die i want my Xbox to be cremated with me(LOL)!! no seriously though i am a proponent of the 1st amendment i relish in the freedoms of expression(a la my blogs) but where is the cut-off point? There are contradictory points in the argument the main one being whas the difference b/w one type of violence and another. Most video games have some form of violence mostly killing and not sayin that itz okay(morally speaking) but that has been a mainstay for themes of video games since itz inception. Now they want you to rape young gurls in the game for revenge??? Doesnt sound all that interesting to me. In the video games i play violence is a necessary evil..if you wanna survive heads gonna roll(literally) so das dat but i am trying to fathom how i would feel about raping a gurl(on the game of course). I feel you... itz distasteful for sure.

On a side but still relevant note I dont condone any form of violence period. That does not mean i will not use it if necessary. That is extreme cases but rape is another level. It is not only degrading it is sexist, power-crazed madness inflicted upon the victims which are mostly female. "This is a man's world.." so why take anything away from the people that birth nations? I dont know it just seems strange how far ppl will go for a buck....

Marital miss?

first comes love then comes marriage then a baby in a carriage. I think das a song or statement, adage whatever u wanna call it. Within the past couple of years i have witnessed two good buddies of mine get married and now one is having twins and one(or should i say two) are pregnant. Ahh the joys of life!! I guess itz seems strange to me now since i have kinda put love on hold(or shun it somewhat). I dont really envy them; i am happy that they found someone to share their lives and start a family. Both couples are good men and women and seem to be happy. I was curious though whas the point of marriage anyway? I asked my dad (his been married to my stepmom for over 15 yrs now) and he summed it up as companionship. All couples go through a lot and relationships are analogous to ur favorite roller coaster ride. Love comes and goes and many couples dont last in marriage. I know that shouldnt deter u from gettin married i am just tryin to figure out the difference from a long-term relationship and marriage. Does one require more commitment than the other? I know there are legal-binding obligations when u get hitched so y bother?

I get asked all the time " why arent u married?" My general responses are either "IDK" or "It isnt my time"(a.k.a. havent found someone who can put up with me lol). I have also had a couple of instances where married women have flirted with me suggesting that i can give them what their husbands cant? Look ma, i'm not here to play house and i damn sure aint tryin to get caught in a love triangle or quadrangle been there done that not tryin to go back...!

Love is what u make it marriage is how u create it God will not forsake it if itz with His blessing. I am not sure if or when i will get hitched and trust i am n NOOO RUSHH(vroom!!!) Before u walk to that aisle weigh everything out first and only do it for the right reasons. What are those reasons hell idk das relative u will know when itz time. Marriage itself is a commitment putting aside the relationship aspect so think b4 u act on "love", etc cuz it takes more than couples liking TV series together or liking the same thing to make it last...shout out to all my married couples and those workin it out in any relationship thru the good and bad!!!

fateful evening

This has been heavy on my mind since last night. Early that day i saw someone near to my heart though we dont talk and pretty much have moved on. I was somewhat speechless and angry and nervous at the same time. I dont know why God wanted me to see her again. She broke my heart severely and i havent seen her in months. We briefly chatted cuz i really am not able to have a long conversation with her for me there still is too much emotion. Then when i got home another gurl that i was(am) close to is getting married. Suffice to say it was a double-whammy for me. I cram to understand it all and I wanted to share with all of you my feelings.

I am the nonchalant type of guy; not many things overly move me. I have ups and downs however and i try to cope(occasionally negatively). I got 99 problems and chics are just one! Funny how both instances happened one right after the other. Now more than ever i try to heed the signs and figure out the message. I dont know what it means but it cut me deep last night. I shouldnt be disturbed by this because i am with neither female but i realize my curse is fated to love them forever. I know that sounds sappy but tis true. Hopefully i will learn from all of this.

desparate times call for....ethical measures??

Whaddup folks how yall been? Yeah this is sungod from the dirty dirty(cant u tell lol). Recently i have been pondering over this particular topic and this past wkends catastrophe in Chile has prompted me to convey my thoughts. We all know what happened in Haiti a few months ago. It was disheartening not only because of the devastation but from some residents(really gangs and itz affiliates) were looting and basically causing civil unrest in a country that is already on the brink of destruction. This has apparently also occurred in Chile were there have been reports of looting.

I (praise ALLAH) have yet to be in a situation where anything goes to survive. I am on the outside looking in yet i feel i have the right to speak on it at least. I empathize with all who are victims of circumstance specifically ones due to natural disasters. I know that resources are scarce at best and aid trickles in at the speed of a lazy snail but that doesnt warrant stealing and/or monopolizing resources. Many are already in a state of despair and to cause unrest and thievery is simply unjust and a cause for concern. It happens all the time when pandemonium occurs. During the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina ppl know of the horror stories that happened in the Superdome. Women were raped, ppl robbed and security forces supposedly assisting the masses barricaded themselves in a room?! wtf??!!!

I know ppl will ask the question if my daughter needed medicine and the only way to get it whas to steal it would I? Hell yeah but the point is I would hope that I would try to exhaust all possibilities before taking that route. I dont know what goes through ppls minds when during extreme stress but morals if practical should be applied at all times. Kats in Chile stealing TVs wtf u gonna do with that when there's no electricity?! Things like dat where items stolen offer no immediate help to u or anyone else is what i am upset about mostly. It aint even the fact that looting is goin on per se cuz i can see how ppl need help but think before u act. Ur consequences affect a lot of ppl not just u.

The youth will set u free...

Sorry for the little delay just been super-busy tryin to get into grad skool and all. Anyway I just wanted to touch base with you about something das been goinz on(lol). I was..ummm well "volunteered" to mentor underprivileged youth in a local neighbor"hood". I am a science major so the subject i teach is guess...science!!!! I just started but i have to say that itz a long road ahead. Many of the students dont even know basic science like whas the scientific method? Now i know everyone is not built for science like dat but all should know some of the basics. It is not even that..really cuz i know most youth in impoverished areas could care less about what atoms and molecules do but it is the commitment to learn SUMTHIN (the lack thereof). I assume they casually go through skool life like not being held to higher standard of education like itz not important or that they just dont care. Of course it starts in the home but it takes a village ya dig. So i know we are all busy with our own lives but take the time for the youth whether it be mentoring or just saying something positive to them. It is woefully needed in a place where itz cool to be a thug. The youth need a better outlook on things and what better way than through education. Itz all about commitment so ask urself are u committed to their future?

say what u feel....?!

good morning world this is ya boi with a another hard hitter. Today imma briefly discuss Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid. In 2008 he privately stated that Pres. Obama was a sure candidate because he was"light-skinned...and with no Negro dialect(aka "ebonics"-a term i loathe btw) unless he wanted to have one." WTF??!!! Since then Mr. Reid has been the brunt of controversy over his insensitive remarks. Many Republicans want him to step down as Majority Leader(of course they do). He has now apologized to Pres. Obama and other African-American leader to pacify what is obviously a veiled racist remark.

Now let me tell u something(nah i aint fire marshal Bill either..lol) this is completely and utterly ridiculous. How come when the ofays have a Freudian slip or rather i shall call it "racial Tourettes"(nigga..oopps excuse me) they immediately run to the nearest "Black leader" and show contriteness for their wrongdoings? And furthermore who the hell are these so-called black leaders and who elected them to speak for the masses of the black nation? Not all white ppl are racist and in this day and age the younger generation is less inclined to think that way because itz a different era. I joke sometime with my folks saying that most whites call u "nigger" every day. Now while i don't believe that completely there are some who do still think that way and will continue til they die off like the dinosaurs they are and with them that prehistoric way of thought.

I also have a side opinion and somewhat controversial in of itself...i somewhat agree with Mr. Reid. I know I know ur shocked...not sungod...yeah me! If Obama wasn't an articulate well-educated AND light skin he would have had a harder time being President. I truly believe that. The reason is cuz ofays are scared of us....itz the fear of the black planet syndrome. If a brutha from hood,USA well versed in politics yet maybe not as articulate or unable to ameliorate white suburbia ran for President i don't think he would have made it..not initially anyway. Now that Obama has opened the door it is possible. I don't doubt that other bruthas or sistahs could have made a run for office but being that Pres. Obama has all the "right" tools for Amerikkka it made it possible for him to gain office. In the past there has been debate over light-skin vs dark skin. Mulattoes, as they were called where not demonized as harshly as their darker counterparts.

Kudos to President Barack Obama i don't take anything away from him. I just think Sen. Reid struck a nerve not necessarily because of the insensitive remark but because i think it echoes in the minds of many ppl including Afrikans-n-Amerikkka.

welcome to the Terrordome

whaddup dudes and dudettes. I would like to respond to the recent failed terrorist attempt to blow up a plane in Detroit during the holidays. There has been much debate over who is to blame for the mishap of allowing a known potential terror suspect to board the plane.

I have no doubt that there are those who view Americans as infidels and constantly attempt to stamp out any hope for world peace. Yesterday Pres. Obama made a speech about the incident claiming that he and others in various agencies are to blame. I respectfully disagree with that statement however. I know that for PR purposes Pres. Barack Obama HAS to say these things but they are simply not true. There are a multitude of reasons why this happened. I think there are so many "possible" suspect that our resources are spread to thin to correctly and effectively analyze information that could lead to arrests. I cant speak on who really is to blame and maybe it should be everyone(in the govt with clearance to info about terrorist). "Spit happens"(saw that on a baby's bib one time...freakin hilarious). This is not to be cavalier about the situation but instead of pointing the blame resolve the issue. Mida...terrorism will neva cease just like crime we can only try to curtail the violence. America has stepped in some feces and it cant wash it off...with the war on the borders, in Afgan and Iraq and having to politic with two obviously crazed tyrants in Mahmoud Imman???(dude from Iran lol) and Kim Il(dude from North Korea) it is no wonder why ppl slip through the cracks. Yeah slip ups like these could cause massive loss and devastation but u can just be vigilant and i think America wants to rid the world of terrorism..not gonna happen.

I am no pessimist i try to look at the positive in everything in life but this is reality; it was written! Should we just put our tails b/w our legs and hide?? NO! but i sense a viewpoint of eradicating an entity that is beyond our control. I hope the new security measures that Pres Obama has implemented will somehow affect the outcome in the future. Be sure when goin to the airport pack accordingly and be cognizant of the ever-changing rules and abide by them to be "safe". To all who travel like me dont be scared live ur life and praise Allah He will see u through this madness. This is the sun god signing off....*

new yr new beginning....

Happy 2010 ppls!!! Its time to put 2009 behind us and move forward in life. I am sure we have all made some new years resolutions(hopefully that u can keep). I just wanna say that though the past shapes the present it doesn't have to determine the future. 2009 was a crazy year for me to say the least a lot of changes occurred some good some not so but in reality it was suppose to be i believe that now. I know i cant speak for u but i welcome change in my life and i have learned from mistakes made. Yeah imma make some more but the point is to try....so for all my family and friends for the ladies and gentlemen that read my wonderful blogs(don't forget to check out www.verbalartistry.blogspot.com) and lastly for the ppls all over the world.... live ur life!!!!!
